I want to share something with you all that I have found while browsing in Orkut, in the right sidebar ad. I thought it was just another normal creative advertisement and ignored it many times. But, later I decided to examine it carefully. After going through it carefully I came to know the new feature of Orkut called Orkut Promote. It is a self-advertising platform where advertisers and regular Orkut users can promote their content including photos, videos or text among the Orkut community. Google charges advertisers for promotion but regular Orkut members can use Orkut promote absolutely free.
What I can do with Orkut Promote?
- You can share you and your friends share YouTube videos, photos, or text with each other.
- You can share your friends promotions, and they can share yours, so this makes the information or content to become viral.
- You can keep a track on how many people have seen your promotion, and how many of them have shared it with their friends or trashed it under the my promotions tab.
How to Create Free Promotion?
- In your Orkut profile or homepage Click promote on the left sidebar.
- Enter a title that match your promotions.
- You can add more text, video, or one of your public orkut photos.
- After adding the desired contents for your promotion, the preview box will update to reflect your changes.
- When you are all set and satisfied with your promotion, click create promotion.

That is really great Idea. Now we can also Promote our products by using the Orkut. We can also promote our Products videos as well.

orkut is the new concepts for the making the friends,mail,communities,testimonials, everything together at any time and at any spot.Great thinking by the maker who thought made everybody can visit anybody by just searching it name can visit it profile any time.Thought their are some protection for that but still its lively for everybody to hang around the surroundings

Yes I have also found that through Orkut we can share our business easily with our friends and relatives.Many of my friends are using this facility for their businesses.I also like your ideas and I will share this with others.

Promotion of Orkut is still in its infancy. Many users are still not able to use this service. But it is a great way to improve your site’s visibility on the full implementation
